Live on stage

It is true that launching my Xmas musical on Christmas day failed. However, the first Iron Maiden cover happened, and it was live on stage.

Yesterday, on Lemmy’s birthday, I posted my first Iron Maiden cover. I picked this day because Lemmy it is truly my savior.

Well, if I am truly honest, my kids are my savior, especially my firstborn, because since his is the one pushing me to do music every single day. Pretty much since his birth. However, I was paralyzed in fear to move on, and Lemmy came in with the green light on a dream so I could move on and overcome a childhood trauma. All Lemmy said was, “Rock it, ain’t no crime,” and that was all I needed.

I am not gonna lie, do my first Iron Maiden cover live on stage was beyond awesome. This is funny and ironic because prior to rejoining the school of rock for another, I kept trying to record a cover, but it was not clicking. Until one day, my friend texted me: “Hey, they are doing an Iron Maiden vs. Judas priest next season at the school of rock.” I guess divine timing is the key.

Well, when I read the text, I didn’t think twice. I just thought, this is it! That is how I gonna break the traumatic spell, and I did it. The fact it was live on stage was just the icing on the cake. Please enjoy the video.

Punkaste,

Richard
